from 220 million years to 1900 (the overview)

In this presentation, we put up a time-line banner for the kids to follow along. We bring in many items starting from:

- 220 million years ago with petrified wood from China.

-65 million years ago with a large Spinosaurus tooth from Morocco.

-55-59 million years ago, a crocodile tooth from the northeastern area of Virginia

-20 to 30 million years ago, bugs, spiders, cockroaches, a small flower trapped in amber from the Dominican Republic

-13,200 to 12,900 years ago, Clovis People, spear and arrow head points, as well as several stone tools used by the Clovis People, Americas

-10,000 years go, Wooly Mammoth hair from the permafrost in Siberia and a Sabre Tooth Tiger skull complete with the large front teeth, Russia/Siberia

-4,000 to 125 years ago, Native American Indians, stone paint pots, an axe head, spear and arrow heads, trading beads, items from every day living, and a very old peace pipe (calumet)

Native american indian presentations

As described above, but concentrated solely on the Native American Indian items, which can further be segmented into time periods and particular tribes.

In particular regarding the Native American Indian Presentations, we have a presentation with items from and reflective of the Powhatan, Lakota, and Pueblo Indians (fitting into the Second Grade curriculum of Social Studies/History).
